The Clinical Academic Center of Braga (2CA-Braga) established three (3) funding programs intended to support clinical research projects.
The funding, up to 10.000 Euros, is awarded according to a selection process, which is guided by the following rules:
The call for tender is announced by 2CA-Braga through proper platforms, namely, at www.ccabraga.org.
Clinicians and researchers, either on an individual basis or as part of teams, interested in developing clinical research, may apply. The fundings are intended to support clinical research projects up to 18 months of duration.
The applications should be submitted in English (with an abstract in Portuguese) till November 30, and should include:
applicant’s curriculum vitae;
description of the project you want to develop, in the following format:
summary (Portuguese and English) – up to 1000 characters;
literature review – up to 2500 characters;
research plan (including methods and tasks) – up to 7500 characters;
progress regarding the state of the art (description of the state of the art of the field in question and the progress the project should bring, explaining the main technological or scientific innovations the team aims for and why they are important);
bibliographical references (up to 20).
The application process should be submitted through the proper form, available at www.ccabraga.org.
The applications will be evaluated by a jury, which will have the following composition:
A member of 2CA-Braga’s board of directors, who will preside and have a casting vote;
A member nominated by the José de Mello Saúde Group;
A member nominated by the Scientific Council of the School of Medicine of the University of Minho;
The jury’s decisions will be made by vote majority and won’t allow for an appeal.
The announcement of the results will be made during January 2016, and the projects should start in February 2016.
At the end of the project, it is mandatory to present a report to 2CA-Braga’s board of directors.
All the scientific works presented during the project should mention the source of support.
